(Anonymous) 2015-10-23 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)Different survivors work different ways. For some, fictionalizing the dynamic and exploring it and being fascinated with it to the extreme gives them a sense of control and understanding, including control over the emotions the whole thing brings up: it settles it into a context of a story, of something that is known, pinned down on a page (or on the screen), easily understood. (As compared to the all-devouring chaos that was experiencing it themselves.)
Which, yes, sometimes includes writing silly fluffy and horrifying stories about murder-husbands that make people not into that go oO;;;;
Different people have different brains and ways of relating to shit in their heads via fiction. News at eleven.
