What appealed to you about SGU? I ask because I basically hate-watched the whole thing, hoping that (most of) the characters would die.

I loved that it was dark, but even more than that, I loved how grey the characters were -- who was a bad guy? Who was good? With rare exception, it was not just unclear, but it changed from case to case. I loved the whole setting of the show, that they were so far off into space, (mostly) cut off and alone. I loved the idea of the ship: High tech to the point of being unusable to most of them, and yet so old it was falling apart. And, unlike you, I loved most of the characters. :)

The time traveling ep was one of my favorite episodes of TV ever.
