Notes:

Last day to submit for next week!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! ♥♥♥

Also, just a note: Dude, bitmaps are HUGE. Please don't submit secrets in bitmap format. I redid one today to a jpeg, because I was feeling nice, but we will make a special section down in the not posted secrets in the future for bitmaps. We're trying to make the page as easy to load for everyone as we can. Thanks!

Well, there are storylines. For instance, the recent super bowl. Eli Manning has been pilloried by the NY press for years. He's always been compared to his brother and found wanting. People have called for him to be fired, said he doesn't have what it takes...etc.

Then you have the team the Giants played against--the Patriots. The 18-0 record-breaking team--who also got caught cheating this year. People thought they were unstoppable.

No one even gave the Giants a chance of getting to a super bowl, let alone winning against the Patriots.

Also, there was a rivalry angle--Eli Manning's brother Peyton and Peyton's team (the Colts) have struggled against the Patriots for years. So you had people saying the "wrong Manning" was going to the super bowl.

There was a whole David/Goliath thing going on. And that's just a little bit of it, if you follow the teams and the players.

So when you're watching the Pats vs. the Giants, you're not just watching them play football--you're watching these personal stories play out.

And there was a spectacular ending to the "story" (if you're a Giants fan--if you like the Patriots, not so much :)--Eli, who has never been given a chance, stayed rock steady and led his team to a victory over the Pats. There was a last-minute spectacular drive in which he made an amazing escape from multiple tackles and threw the ball--which his receiver caught against his helmet. Eli went on to get the MVP award--winning a victory for younger siblings everywhere and proving his worth as quarterback.

Anyway, if you just watch the game without knowing much about it, I can see why you might find it boring. But there are stories everywhere.

Yeah, I figure most people actually... do know to an extent the people playing in the game, so it's more interesting to them, so I guess it's just because I don't know much about the sport and the people behind it.

I DID wish I saw the end of this year's Superbowl though because the ending still sounded amazing and I was like "damn, they won in the last 30 seconds? I wish I could have seen that."

Like I actually can watch football movies and stuff and I thought a few of them were really good, and they were based off true stories. I guess I'd rather watch the people behind the game than the actual game itself. XD
