Notes:

Last day to submit for next week!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! ♥♥♥

Also, just a note: Dude, bitmaps are HUGE. Please don't submit secrets in bitmap format. I redid one today to a jpeg, because I was feeling nice, but we will make a special section down in the not posted secrets in the future for bitmaps. We're trying to make the page as easy to load for everyone as we can. Thanks!

Secrets Left to Post: 4 pages, 81 secrets from Secret Submission Post #058.

It's not terribly entertaining to watch most sports unless you've done so for a while, I agree. But when you've followed the players and the teams for years - since childhood, for many people - it has the same sort of effect as a serial drama. New characters come and ago, bringing with them unique styles and flavours, and they hit the stage to perform for an audience in a grueling, unscripted contest of might, wit, and will. As another poster has mentioned, the story of the ultimate underdogs (with a QB ever under the shadow of his older brother) overcoming the evil empire (with a coach caught cheating, not once but twice, which had just beaten said older brother scant weeks earlier) couldn't have been written better in Hollywood.

Oh, yes, and of course there's plenty of sports slash as well.

I live in constant fear of running across Patriots yaoi. But I suspect its inevitable. Wes Welker and Tom Brady are both very pretty.

Oh, also the Pats didn't beat Eli's older brother scant weeks earlier.

The Colts lost to the Chargers in the playoffs. They only played the Pats once in regular season, in week 9.

Sorry, I still think it was a great story (though it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it too...) and on hindsight I'm glad to have seen it. I'm even a little, dare I say it, happy for Eli.

But let no one forget, it was Week 17 that energized the Giants after they had difficulty making the playoffs, and the confidence boost of nearly beating an undefeated team probably helped them grow into the "unstoppable" (Eli Manning is) powerhouse that rolled over the Cowboys and the Packers.

...i'm just trying to comfort myself. Don't mind me. *whistles in a corner, playing with a ball*
