oh, i didn't know they'd divorced.

every time i see a picture of her pregnant, all i can think of was that time she was 100 years along and he took her to the '08 men's wimbledon final. which ended up lasting more than 7 hours because of rain delays. /csb

...am I misreading you, or are you blaming him for the fact that they both attended an event that ran long? Because if you are, I'm having a very hard time unpacking the internal logic.

you're misreading me. gavin rossdale is a tennis enthusiast and a persoal friend of roger federer, one of that year's finalist, which is why i phrased it as "he took her".

i have zero emotional investment in any of these people (except roger federer).

I don't really know anything about him. Why wasn't he good enough for her?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-29 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Because he apparently cheated on her repeatedly and treated her more like an accessory than an equal.

nayrt - I'm having a hard time seeing how being a stay at home dad and being commonly known as "that dude Gwen Stefani married" fit in with this.

I don't understand though, because breakups are seriously painful and if she's got a kid then even worse for her having to deal with split parenting issues, so if she's your fave, why would you wish that on her? They look happy in that photo. Looks like he adores her.

(Disclaimer I know zero about them as a couple)

(Anonymous) 2015-10-29 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know much either but if the above claim about him cheating is true, then I can see where OP is coming from.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-29 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
He cheated on her a ton, and she was very open about being insecure about her appearance and wanting to make him happy. They actually have a few children together, and maybe he did adore her, but he wasn't a good husband and a lot of people feel like the relationship wasn't healthy for her.

Does this mean No Doubt is gonna be worth listening to again?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-29 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
As a guy, I'm getting over saying, "He's not good enough for her."

Because by that measure, I'd never be good enough for anyone.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-29 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'm gonna wager that you're being too hard on yourself.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-29 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
How are those two things related? Surely somewhere in the world there's a relationship where the guy isn't good enough for the woman he married. That has no bearing on you or how you handle your relationships.

Almost thought this was Rita Ora for a second, until I've read the secret.
