Yeah, I agree with you. Changing historical events to fit a film's narrative is a crummy thing to do. (Especially when you then pass it off as a true accounting of events.)

I can entirely understand why some people might side eye, but since it sounds like your teenage friend is mostly listening (and as long as you're not giving detailed playbacks of any sexual encounters) I'd say it's a win/win. You feel better, they feel useful.

At some point getting professional help might be an option to consider, though. Some people only have so much capacity as vomitoriums.

She used to look much more 90's. I feel like the change just reflects the general trend in manga art styles. I'm not to upset about it, personally.

I can't believe how long this manga has been running, though. Cripes. I remember this being old when I first got into anime and it's STILL GOING. Not caught up, never will be caught up...

every time i see a picture of her pregnant, all i can think of was that time she was 100 years along and he took her to the '08 men's wimbledon final. which ended up lasting more than 7 hours because of rain delays. /csb
