What rare pair do you love to pieces? Are there any fics? Have you written any?

Let's see if we can unite some shippers and introduce each other to some fics and art!

I'll start: my rare pair is Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra, and I have written almost every fic for them on AO3. I can't find fics for them or Old Hollywood anywhere!

Every so often i'll see the mentality of 'people think that you liking someone bad reflects on you personally' and it confuses me.

How does it NOT?

If you can overlook someone being bigoted or abusive because the media they produce is /that/ important to you, how does that not reflect on you when you'll willingly pay for someone like that ?

Alternatively, are any really delighting you?

Castle – I gave up on it after the first two episodes of the season and I watched it from the start.

Scorpion – I can’t really complain about this show as I’ve given up taking it at all seriously and decided to treat it like the television show equivalent of crackfic about geniuses saving the world.

Grey’s Anatomy – Wow, Amelia seems even more obnoxious than ever before. The rest is okay, but I’m really not sure about this whole Penny thing (Is it just me or wouldn’t this be a hugely biasing thing for her residency training?)

Sleepy Hollow – Better than last season, not as good as the first.

Haven – I like Audrey, I like Nathan, but I’m not so sure I like them together any more – maybe if the writers could stop pushing the epic romance button so hard. I mean if either of them decides (yet again) that as long as the other is saved, they don’t care who else gets hurt, I will break something.

The Good Wife – I’ve been enjoying Alicia on her own and the investigator, Jason Crouse (Jeffery Dean Morgan), has interesting potential.

Everything else is sort of on an even keel for me, though Grimm and Elementary haven’t started yet, and Person of Interest won’t be on for quite a while.

So I amd fucking fed up of having good characters that I come to love die. Fuck that, I dont want any more of the real world in my fiction than I have to have and I am sick of writers treating their character like tools to elicit feelings of loss and sadness in their readers. Can you not just write for the joy of it? Do you really need to write good characters just so that when you feel it's time to depress your readers you have somone to kill? Am I the only one who is fed up with being made to feel sad because the writer thinks good fiction must elicit /every/ emotion and now it's time for him to show you he's capable of making you sad?
