Is F_W dead for real? Thought it was still up but just not updated much anymore?

But yeah, that doesn't make any sense, given that it's a children's book series so there wouldn't even be a scene like that. You almost have to wonder whether it was one of those fans who got in through fanfic and wasn't actually very familiar with the books. Or they just read way too many fanfics.

Journalfen itself is switching servers and has been since Spring, so the whole site is dead for now. They say they've saved the data and are going to transfer it over to the new site, but who knows how much longer that's going to take, if it happens at all.

I don't remember much else about that particular wank outside of that quote (which burned itself into my head with its mind-boggling stupidity), but you could be right about that.

In my experience, when it takes that long it generally means someone dropped the ball, or rather, took the ball home and won't bring it back so someone else can give it a shot. :/

I just remember that towards the release of DH, if not earlier, there were a lot of fandomers who either never finished the entire series to that point, and/or who were mostly familiar with movies and fanfic. Which is fine if all you want is the fanfic, but then don't try getting meta.
