Otherwise you're giving money to someone who has publicly given money to homophobic organizations.

And? If he worked at McDonalds, I'd still hand over $5 for a meal. And he'd make $7.25 an hour for his labor. And he could give it to homophobic organizations.

You exchange money for products made with labor. The person who made the product is free to do as they wish with the money. Do you feel responsible for what McDonalds workers do with their money?

I understand negative emotions being so strong that you can't enjoy something, but I don't think boycotts are typically effective enough for "to boycott, or not" to be a moral/ethical issue.
