Re: What features do you like or dislike in an art style?

Agreed on between realistic and anime. I think that Urasawa's art is amazing for that, and I also quite like the look of Gangsta.

For me, I like more detail than what you get in something like SU. Like Peridot's hair - what is it doing? Is it hair? I hate it when I don't understand what I'm supposed to be seeing (unless it's like, Dali, where that's the point).

I also generally don't like perfectly round eyes on human characters, though it doesn't always bother me enough to keep me away.

I figured Peridot's hair is supposed to be an afro. It's kind of similar in shape to Sardonyx's hair, after all.

But she's got those little lines at the sides right near her face, I mean what are those? Those don't look like an afro to me...
