Fanartist that attempted suicide because of the SU fandom's bullying.

Shit, I think I heard about this! Didn't she draw really racist shit? Some transphobic comments as well if it's the same story.

Not especially (worst was a pretty stereotypical native american fluttershy) and she apologized and took it down after people made her aware of it.

Nothing justifies having 40 something reciept blogs documenting your every move, especially someone whose mentally ill.

Those receipt blogs creep me out so much. I can understand for someone who has hurt/abused people they interact with and continue to do so.

But ffs you don't need receipt blogs for every person who's said or drawn or written something you don't like.

Shit I'd be freaking out too if I had half that many blogs tracking every little thing I said or did.

Yeah, I'd understand if it was an issue like a fanartist was a child abuser or regularly scammed people, but for the most part they're just awkward teens and twenty-somethings. They're just going for easy targets and it's disgusting.

The whole black and white mentality on tumblr of if you do anything wrong ever you're a horrible person has basically turned me into a perma-anon.

It kind of reminds me of mock blogs that used to be made for one particular person in fandom who someone didn't like for reasons like "I don't like their ship" or "I don't like their fan-character" or whatever."

Only those were upfront about just mocking people for the most part while these 'receipt blogs' are more geared toward "why they are a horrible person" which because of black and white mentality, leads to people treating them like they're not even fucking human.

Those receipt blogs are a lot like the SJW version of Encyclopaedia Dramatica, the difference being that people on ED don't pretend the aren't assholes.

I don't know if they are a bad thing, I don't remember who said it, but I'm reminded of the quote "Everything is racist, everything is sexist, everything is homophobic, and it's our job to record it"
