(Anonymous) 2015-10-31 01:44 am (UTC)(link)Paloma I really liked, right up until the end, where I would have preferred to see her stop hero-worshipping her diosa to accuse Santanico of ruining her life (she did kidnap her and a bunch of other innocent and now presumably dead women) rather than to embrace culebra-ness and be all about power. I thought the show was writing her as a parallel to Santanico's own origin story, and her and Santanico were being set up to bond (well, more than the other kidnap victims) so that Paloma's suffering would eventually jolt Santanico out of her mindset of "revenge above all, no matter the price," see that she has been to Paloma what Malvado was to her, and look at her life, look at her choices. She did shed her hero-worship, but the direction Paloma ended up going didn't work for me.
Gonzalez I mainly want to like because he fits what usually is my kind of character, but somehow I just find him boring.
