Fifthing. I recently got out of a friendship with someone who has BPD.

It hurt because I really wanted to be there for her and listen to her, especially since we've known each other for a while. But... it was too much. She was really possessive over me and it was getting to a point where she was hostile towards my boyfriend (even though I told her I'm straight and she never actually met him).

My breaking point, though, was when she tried to get into a particular fandom I was in and she was trying really hard to get me out of it and it's just... No. I couldn't deal with her problems anymore, especially if I wanted to do better for myself and my boyfriend.

I still feel a little guilty about leaving her but I know I made the right choice.
