Not being able to roleplay without being the center of attention and having only good things happen to their character.

I mean, yes, it's great that you have the most accurate depiction of x character down to speech mannerisms... but godmoding is just no. I don't care how great you are, I'm not rping with you.

If they're godmodding clearly they're not a great RPer. Good RPing is more than just good writing and ideas. I was once in an rp community with a user who had a very original idea for a character, it was very cool. But they were the biggest godmodding sue I've ever encountered. And because they had a lot of admin friends they got away with almost everything they did.

If they took issue with you , your character is probably dead meat.

This is what I've always thought, but sometimes this shit just sneaks up on you. I've been on an open comm before where people would often just drop in (usually to test out character concepts for other rps) and some of the most interesting and quality rpers (as in, had great ideas and near perfect depictions of characters) would just flip the fuck out if you so much as suggested their character might "lose" an encounter.

And that could be anything from not having a romantic encounter go how they wanted it to, to trying to rp a tense action scene and having their character get hurt.

It was really, really aggravating whenever it cropped up.

That's true.

Also that sounds awful I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

It was less awful and more irritating, since I was kind of a BNF on that comm and friends with the mods. But that was a while ago lol.
