Anyway, I don't have experience with the extended SW universe (just the films, and a couple games) so I don't know much about Maul's backstory, but for me he was one of the better parts of TPM. I've always found him weirdly attractive too so I feel you on this. I can't say he was the first non-human character I found attractive, but he does have a certain dark, forbidden appeal, lol.

Plus... I just find black and red to be nice colors that go well together. It's a fun design, okay?!

Ironically, the whole situation makes me sad because I really want to love this film (as I love all 6 of the Star Wars films) BECAUSE of its cast.

But I'm pretty sure I'm going to not like it because I really dislike JJ Abrams' work and it seems like Han is his favorite character whereas Han was always by far my least favorite of the original trio.
