You should be ashamed of yourself. Keeping track of "lolcows" is probably one of the creepiest internet behaviors there is.

Before you submit someone, maybe you should think about how you would feel if there were a bunch of people online following your activity so they could make fun of everything you do.

Yeah, like logically I know stalking people is creepy and it's pretty messed up and sad that people dedicate so much time to milking lolcows or what have you, but I don't feel much about what I did.

But I don't plan on doing anything like that again.

Good.

Wow, that's what an lolcow is?

Yeah, pretty low, anon.

What's worse is that a lot of "lolcows" tend to have serious mental issues (severe autism, etc).

Which makes it even more predatory.

NAYRT - Yeah, I was in some snark communities back in the day (GodAwfulFanFiction, some fandom_wank people who formed circles), but we always stopped short of that, for the most part anyway. :/

Honestly, they sound a bit like Encyclopedia Dramatica.

Re: confessions

Yeah.

I could never stand reading Encyclopedia Dramatica because I couldn't get past my raging desire to bitchslap the person who wrote the articles for being a complete and utter dick.

(Also memo to the writer's "assburgers" is not very clever and it makes you sound fucking twelve.)

If everything they're doing is public, it's not "stalking." They're showing their ass to the entire world. A few people are bound to follow them and laugh.

lol if that's how you justify being a bully.

Re: confessions

(Anonymous) 2015-11-01 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Unless people are directly harassing them (seriously that shit isn't cool), I don't see what's so bad. What the lolcow doesn't know can't hurt them.

Re: confessions

(Anonymous) 2015-11-01 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
....okay now that you've clarified, that I can agree with.

I just don't agree with people who turn someone into their "personal project".

Re: confessions

Oh no, there's definitely a line there. Provoking someone to do stupid shit and then laughing at them is fucked up. But if they're acting like a dumbass without anybody's encouragement, I don't see the harm in observing and having a chuckle.

Re: confessions

I'll never understand people who do that. Seriously. It's like pushing little kid in the dirt and making fun of them when they cry.

I'm pretty sure people who do that are least a little bit sociopathic.

More than just "a little" methinks.

Re: confessions

(Anonymous) 2015-11-01 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
It's one thing to see someone doing someone foolish and laugh. But it's another to intently follow a person and repeatedly try to provoke them to do or say things for their twisted amusement.

If you're okay with the the latter, you're at the very least creepy and a bully.

Okay I just read your response to the other person and I take it back. If people are just reacting there's nothing wrong with that.
