I've been through this sort of thing before. Once they know that you're not going to do it again, they send you on your way because they job is done and they don't really care about anything else.

Can't go through the cost and just can't go through it again.

Oh, I think I know what you mean!

I was once in a psych ward (in the USA) for suicidal depression. Which was fine while I was in, but then they turfed me in a couple of days and then charged me a few grand. Excuse me, I was depressed partly because of career and money issues! So I got more depressed, and pretty much permanently gave up on psychiatry.

It was over a decade later that I actually went to a psychologist, got a diagnosis, and actually got some personal benefit from it, instead of just big bills. And it was still an expensive pain to start, but I actually was able to qualify for some public assistance, which was a big help. So it is possible for mental health professionals to do some good.

I still don't trust the shrink that much, but at least she doesn't act like I just need drugs.
