I hate the current trend of having more and more shocking sex scenes and nudity in TV shows. I like my porn with no plot and my plot with no porn, thanks.

porn with no plot

How does it feel to be so wrong?

I think it's cool when porn has plot, but I agree with the later.

I can't really think of a sex scene in a non porn show that was really needed and couldn't just fade to black, and having a random sex scene in non porn media is just awkward.

Well...I don't exactly loathe it (though I do think there are times when they could dial it back a little; after a certain point I would rather get back to the story), but it isn't what I look for in a series either. And honestly most the shows I watch don't have constant sex and nudity, but I know some of the more popular ones do. (GOT, for example. I watched and loved Spartacus, so I was thinking about that. I won't say I didn't enjoy a lot of it and I don't see anything wrong with appreciating it, but again, there were times I said, "This scene could've been shorter.")

I agree. Although, I'd be okay with the current trend if it came with equal amounts of male nudity and focus on the female gaze as well as the male.

same, and it never ends up adding anything to the characters or their development that couldn't be added with a fade-to-black and afterward conversation
