my unpopular opinion is that too much salt is bad for you, which probably means that salty racist anon is going to shit themselves right into an aneurysm any day now.

also I don't think Bernie is that great a candidate. Like, he looks great on paper, but with the house and senate laid out as is with gerrymandering making it unlikely that we'll see major movement outside the White House, he's immobilized even if he gets in. Literally none of the shit he wants to do is viable with the rest of the political situation as is.

Harper's a sleazy scumbag and did a terrible job as prime minister, but he's not a moron who's likely to start WWIII by sticking his foot in his mouth one too many times. If our reputation overseas doesn't plummet dramatically over the next few years I am going to be fucking astonished. I wouldn't trust Trudeau to look after my goldfish, let alone run a country. There's nothing he's promised to do that Mulcair wouldn't have done better.

And as for the whole "decriminalizing pot" thing? MULCAIR WOULD HAVE DONE THAT TOO IF YOU'D JUST GIVEN HIM A FUCKING CHANCE.

There is no difference between a "queerplatonic" relationship and a deep, committed friendship.
(I'm saying this as an aromantic asexual person - because apparently, aromantic/asexual people are oppressed by denying ~queerplatonic~ is a thing.)
Furthermore, I think queerplatonic is not actually a word for aro/ace people to use as a distinction from "boring normal" friendships, but rather yet another term mostly used by straight people to once again co-opt anything queer/not straight.

Lastly: Sorry if your friendships are so boring and shitty that you have to make up another word for a deep and commited friendship. But it's still bullshit.

I hate reboots and am usually one of the first people to start pitching a fit when a new one is announced, but for now I'm okay with the Ghostbusters one and have decided to give it a chance. Mainly because I like the cast. (In particular, I'm a huge fan of Kristen Wiig. <3)

All other reboots can DIAF though, especially fucking Lens Flare Trek.

We as a species are basically doomed because of medical advances that allow people with serious genetic problems to live to adulthood and reproduce and pass on their problems, so those people can breed with other people with problems, and it's all going to go down the toilet. It makes me nervous for the future. And I can't talk about it with anyone, obviously.

There's no such thing as a "hardcore atheist"

There are anti-theists who are "hardcore opponents of religion" who try to convert people away from their religion, but you can't "hardcore not believe in something", that makes no sense

A rather boring unpopular opinion, but if there is going to be a "The Last of Us 2" I don't want Ellie or Joel in it. Give us a completely different cast because the first game ended in such a perfect place that whatever comes after can only be a disappointment.

I'm a feminist and a bisexual woman but I still vastly prefer slash ships over het or femslash ships. However I prefer my slash to be plot before porn (I usually skip sex scenes because they do nothing for me, I'm there for angst) and prefer my femslash to be porn without plot. I rarely read het fics. I prefer seeing het in fanart.

I think people who say a word has lost it's meaning are a bit narrow minded. It hasn't lost it's meaning, it has just gained multiple meanings. There are quite a lot of official words in the English language that have multiple meanings, I don't see why fandom terms must have only one.
