It's pointless, yeah, but still funny to call people out when they pull the holier than you attitude and desperately pretend they just care about good writing and gay rights.

On a serious note, I don't think discussing fandom patterns and call people out on their misogyny is pointless especially when slash fans hide their personal preference for white cock behind concern trolling on female characters.
I think it's especially interesting to study it all from the perspective of whatever this generation of young women really doesn't seem to be able to relate to female characters or not even if, in many aspects, nowadays women are better represented than years ago. My mother's heroines were more or less sexist and mary sue characters that fangirls overinflated and shipped with everyone.
