I'm not really bothered by the fact that you feel this way, but I do think you might want to consider the larger issue is not that sick people breed, but rather, we as a society are ignorant of many of the processes we could be using to detect or identify health problems before we pass them on.

My own condition has a 50% chance of being passed on to any child I have. If I had an easily identifiable mutation and I wanted children, I could be a good candidate for embryonic screening. If my child still had the potential to pass on a genetic condition despite not having a mutation that caused them problems, they could be informed about their options in the future too.

I think it's a good idea to have an in depth discussion with your doctor before deciding to have children, even if you are healthy. One of my closest friends is the seriously ill daughter of two very healthy former professional athletes who both just happened to be carriers of a particular gene.

I think everyone should be well-informed about preventative medicine, and be able to access it.
That would be a much healthier world, I think, than sorting the good from the bad like you would if you were selling fruit.
