We have advances that allow us to treat those medical conditions. We also have advances that are allowing us to learn how to screen for those conditions, and to select against them. Will people still be born with them? Sure. Knowing how to screen for a condition doesn't mean everyone will want to, but the option is already pretty widely used for potentially lethal genetic conditions, so there's a good chance that trend will continue.
