I don't particularly agree with what you're saying, but I think the people who are jumping all over you about it and making it extremely personal just so they can be righteously angry at you are being dicks.

And I'm sorry you feel this way. Personally, I have a similar level/type of fear about humans irrevocably fucking up the earth to the point where a massive number of us get wiped out by some kind of catastrophic natural/environmental event. Although I think the part I fear more is everything before that, where the earth's environment becomes increasingly toxic and resources become increasingly scarce and all the people who are not immensely wealthy are forced to live increasingly hard, increasingly sickly lives.
