My dad was supposed to have surgery for spinal stenosis tomorrow. A week ago insurance said they wouldn't pay for it. His doctor appealed. Today, they said they still wouldn't pay for it.

I don't know. I think we can appeal again, but in the meantime, he can't walk without a walker for more than a few minutes, and I can't walk with a walker for more than a few minutes after that.
