If you like gen, you probably hate slash and therefore are a homophobe OR you think all romance is icky girly crap and therefore are a misogynist!
If you like smut, you're a shallow perverted fanbrat and you're ruining fandom!
If you don't like smut, you're a prude!
If you like some kinds of smut but not others, you're a prude AND a kink-shamer, and possibly a homophobe or misogynist as well!
