2. It oversimplifies issues - someone whose diet doesn't consist of meat is not going to suddenly eat a steak if they found that cow had a brain condition which made it unable to feel pain
3. Did you actually just suggest cannibalism?
Though I do think the obsessed outrage meat-eaters have about vegetarians is hilarious.

I was responding to Phil's point that it's unethical to eat meat because animals can feel pain. The implication in that is that the ethics of eating something hinges on its ability to feel pain.
