When people keep saying stupid shit and making wild claims/fake facts/poorly remembered word of mouth fact then get upset with you for not taking them seriously. Arguments where you're expected to waste time following their ridiculous mental gymnastics or moving goal posts.

For some reason this made me think of the opposite: people making weird arguments and then after you've gone back and forth a bit they declare that they don't really care anyway and imply that you're ridiculous for wasting your time on it, as if they weren't doing the same thing and as if they somehow have the upper hand specifically because they don't really know what they're talking about.
