Soulmates where one dies and haunts the other as a ghost. They find out that without the connection of a living soul mate they would have never loved each other as expected. This leads to them investigating the whole sham of soulmates, the dead one moving on, and the living one finding someone they can be with happily.

Mostly just because I think that would be really cool.

This is a really interesting premise. And I think it may be pretty catharctic, too, in terms of exploring the process of mourning.

Aha, thanks. Yeah, I think it could really help with that.

Or imagine if the person died even before the two met. Then you can go into feeling invalidated about mourning something you never had.
