I like the original anime more because it's what I saw first, then read through the manga and am still halfway into brotherhood. (Guess it can't hold my attention since it's basically the same as the manga and I know the story)

The original anime seems more fun than brotherhood, the filler episodes about Roy's gang were some of my favorite episodes. Even the manga seems more lighthearted than brotherhood, though possibly I'm mainly remembering the omake.

I also liked Wrath and Sloth more in this version, I really liked the idea they were based on Ed and Al's mother and Izumi's son.

Yeah, and I also liked the characterization they gave to Lust, making her the only homunculus to have real human emotions and desires to become human was super interesting and tragic. ;(
In brotherhood shes just evil and there's not much more than that.
I really like brotherhood, but I wish they hadn't left out all of Lust's personality and character in the process.
