In media, body swapping.

In fanfic, people being turned into an animal for a week or so.

YES BODYSWAP. Especially in live-action media. The bodyswap episode of any sci-fi show is, as far as I'm concerned, the one where you really find out which cast members are the breakout stars.

I love body swapping too but it's a giant pet peeve of mine when the voices don't change along with the bodies.

I don't think I've come across a lot of fanfic where people get turned into animals. Mostly it makes me think of a dream I had where I turned into an animal and got found and taken in by a girl I had a crush on and got jealous watching some other girl flirt with her.

Love body swapping! I always enjoy bodyswap eps in cartoons

The old "uh-oh, there's only one bed in this hotel room, whatever shall we do?!" gets me every time.

Yeeees. I absolutely love that.

Interspecies romance, human woman/non-human man in particular. ( Have not seen much of the reverse.)

I love this one too, especially if it's specifically human woman/alien.

The "undercover couple" one where two people have to pretend to be dating for some predictable reason and realize they're in love along the way.

I love that one too.

seriously, if a movie/series/book has rape in it as a storytelling device it'll definitely get my attention.

Yup. I'm the same. And torture as well, both physical and mental. I like angsty, creepy things. If a character is being made miserable, I'm likely to enjoy it.

When one character, usually the male, has one or more injuries that the other half of a potential pairing must tend to, and those injuries just so happen to be under his shirt, which he must remove. Cue either increased UST or the resolution of said ST.

Oh man, I just love that trope. It's like my favorite thing to read about in slash fics.
