I have zero interest in DW, mainly because I will never be able to get even slightly invested in a story where the main characters keep being recycled. That's just not how I roll.

I know, I know, the Doctor is technically supposed to be the same soul or entity or whatever, and each new incarnation just brings a new twist to his character. Nope. No thank you. I really just want the same damn characters throughout.

Maybe, maybe if his companion was the same person throughout and it was only the doctor who changed (but was still sort of the same being) I could get into it. But even that's a bit doubtful. The writing would have to be really good about exploring what it's like, to build a relationship with someone and then to have them change so that you're perpetually having to start all over again while also never really being able to put the past behind you because technically you haven't really lost the person you lost.
