My husband refuses to watch any movies that are in black and white, which I think is just dumb. But there you go. He doesn't like the aesthetics of, like, pre-mid-Eighties movies (and really, anny movie over about ten years old now so it seems to be a sliding scale since he's been saying this for a while) and finds that his dislike of that gets in the way of enjoying anything else about the movie, so he just doesn't watch them. So he misses out. Big time.

So I make a point of showing the kids great old movies, because dammit, someone needs to educate them and this Film Studies course isn't going to go to complete waste, hah.
