I wouldn't have done anything, because I'd be too afraid to get robbed tbh. Plus, everyone is saying call/direct them to a homeless shelter but the shelters here keep saying they go around and most homeless people refuse.

AYRT - Well, this was a very public area (there were other people around), and she was on the ground. So I felt safe. Maybe that was naive, but she really didn't look like a threat. (I wouldn't have, say, let her in my car or anything though.)

Yeah...some of the most dangerous people "look safe." Mental illness is not uncommon among the homeless and knives are easy to conceal.
