Writing is way easier than drawing. Also, words will never be as impressive as art.

As a writer, I actually agree with you. And that's why I'm fine with art commissions, but not writing ones.

I'm not sure I follow the logic? I'd pay for quality, no matter the medium. Neither writing or visual art comes with a guarantee of quality, as the many offerings available on the internet will evidence.

I agree with the first statement, but not the second.

I think writing masterfully might be just as difficult, but I write and draw and I definitely thing drawing is the more difficult skill overall (even though I've had much more practice at it).

With writing, a huge swath of the population can do it well enough to convey meaning. It's a skill that we're constantly refining all the time, even through day to day communication. In fact, just about everyone can write well enough to not just get across basic concepts like 'the sky is blue', but incredibly complex subjects.

Drawing? Not so much. Most people can pull off a stick figure, or a simple cartoon, but ask them to draw something else and you'll be lucky to get anything recognizable out of it.
