CS Lewis is kind of a crappy writer, and also he seems personally annoying to me. He just always comes across as incredibly smug and self-satisfied and kind of shallow. Cannot stand CS Lewis.

I don't want more women in dangerous jobs like fire-fighters and fighting on the front lines. I am a feminist and I do believe in equal opportunities for women to excel, I just don't think women being put in dangerous violent positions is a good pro-woman thing.

I'm liberal, I believe in welfare and food stamps and a higher minimum wage... but I think it's incredibly naive to pretend that there aren't people who are poor because they waste money. I don't mean in a "ugh she used food stamps for potato chips" way, I mean "one minute you're crying because you can't find a job, now you're showing me your new expensive shoes."

I just wish you could address both issues without coming across as classicist.

I don't care that they're making a new video production, largely because it's been on stage off and on for the past 40 years.

But people who try to pin down any of the characters to an identity-category "team" are probably missing the whole fucking point.

I don't think people should be reasonably expected to use gender pronouns that aren't male or female, or at least "they" as a neutral pronoun.

I support trans people using the bathroom of their identified gender, but only if they are presenting that gender and 100% identify with that gender. When people who identify as "genderqueer" weigh in on the debate I just give no fucks. I don't see the big deal in using the bathroom of the gender you appear to be. I don't think gender segregated toilets are a bad thing.

Donald Trump will be our next President and all the brown people will be shipped out within seconds of him being inauguated and then Africa and the Middle East will be nuked, getting rid of most of the brown people for good.

Technological advances have made people less creative, especially in regard to digital art coloring and video game designs. Going for photorealistc or a just copying traditional tools is lame.

Give me sprites games over realistic nitty-gritty third-person shooter any day.

I think there are more (and better done) self insert characters than people think. The authors are just smart enough not to tell people where the character came from and some people who are so against the idea are probably unwilling to believe that good characters or characters they like are self inserts.

The only ones people really know of are bad because they're the most painfully obvious ones that don't have any subtlety.

I'll respect pronouns and respect them as a person, but I don't feel as comfortable around trans people as I do cis. I don't think they'll ever truly be the gender they're transitioning to either, socially or biologically.

I don't think we can actually prevent/avoid climate change at this point. Not full in any case, maybe minor damage control. And a lot of the "small measures" we're taking on the nuclear family sort of level are mostly just to make us feel better, imho.

But frankly what we really should be doing is making contingency plans for when shit goes to hell - I mean even if we do manage to avoid it, it's a large enough likelihood to warrant at least the consideration.

And b that I mean very practical stuff like: where will we evacuate/relocate people too if sea level rises and some area's flood? What will we do for food production if climate could affect it? etc etc.

I don't think everything needs to be accessible to everyone. For example, I don't think we need to take combat out of video games so that people with poor motor control can play them.

I don't think it's actually a good thing to make it so everyone can do everything. Yeah, I know some people have disabilities that are beyond their control. But there's not a whole lot of value in completely taking away the ability for anyone to excel or stand out at anything. And I think making things super accessible does that.

I do not get tumblr and ONTD's widespread stanning of Alicia Vikander. In every single picture I've seen of her, she looks completely devoid of life energy. She looks like if you invited her to your house for Thanksgiving, she would sit in morose silence all throughout dinner and offer only a dazed, wan smile when someone asked her a direct question.

I have next to no sympathy for drug abusers that end up homeless due to their addiction. It was their decision to take that first hit, it's their responsibility. The desperate shifting of blame to literally anyone but themselves absolutely disgusts me.
