I don't understand trans people. The movement just seems to be enforcing traditional gender roles.

Please read up on body/brain maps. Regardless of the "we're all the same!" rhetoric we like to throw out there to make everyone feel included, there are actually (as in scientifically proven) differences in male and female brains and bodies, and trans people's brains don't match up with their bodies. It's as simple as that.

If you're talking about bunselves and various other special snowflake "genders", then yes, I absolutely agree with you.

I would be interested in learning more about those differences. What are they?

I've talked to trans people and every time, it's been along the lines of "I like sports and not shopping therefore I'm a man" or things like that.

I'm also conflicted, and I'm trans. I tried bringing up the subject once among others in the community, and was told I was an idiot, basically. I don't know how to feel. There's a lot of contradiction in the whole matter.

In their defense, I have never once heard a trans person say that another living person is trans and doesn't know it. I have seen it said about fictional characters, and I have seen it said about dead people, but never about a living person. That's way better than "You're homophobic because you're secretly gay!"
