(Anonymous) 2015-11-14 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)-I love, love, LOVE the return of old school boyscout morality. It feels so good to have Sam and Dean (and Cas) be heroes again!
-Every single episode so far has been connected to the main storyline. I'm sure there will be filler episodes later, but so far none!
-Reconnecting with season 5 straight from the first ep!
-The pure brilliance and beauty that was the "Baby" episode. One of the top 5 episodes of the show.
-All the spoilers for things coming!

Re: Gotham
X-files (spoilers for episode One Son)
What an amazing episode! The aliens do look a bit goofy (are they children in sweaters??). It felt like this whole episode was basically the culmination of the entire show has been working towards. I need to rewatch it because I don't understand a lot of what was happening.
Why did they have to give them away? Why were the aliens killing us? Why would the aliens give us the key to survival?
In other news, I still love Krycek. He is such an asshole. Too bad someone took the fetus, but at least he can see his old GF. No idea who the rebels were...
I love how Spender's mom hates the Smoking Man. ME TOO, LADY! I was not a fan of the people ripping faces off or the gross face with no eyes or mouth. Ugh.
No clue what happened at the end. The aliens...tricked them? Or were mad that people showed up that should not? I don't really get who the faceless aliens are.
And of course Smoking Mad kills his son. Because that is who he is.
I think I might stop watching after this season. Might just skip to the movies.
but really...

(Anonymous) 2015-11-15 08:50 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, you're at that point. Ultimately, TXF was (even in its good years) like a Rubik's Cube where you could only ever get one or two sides to be a whole color. In the case of TXF, you could only ever make some of the facts form a coherent theory. But then you'd try to make those facts meet up with other facts, and you'd have to break the coherent theory you'd put together in order to make that other part coherent.
Also, are you saying you haven't watched the first movie yet?!!
Dude, Fight the Future fits into the show's chronology right between S5 and S6. And it sounds like you're in the middle of S6 right now. I mean, maybe you don't really care about that kind of thing, which is fine, but OMG I'm a bit obsessive about watching things In The Right Order, so this is killing me a little.
