It doesn't happen as often nowadays, but in the old internet days it was pretty common to find women writing articles that said slash(lemon or whatever) wasn't actually about gay men, but ~~women sexuality, and then you get the same women criticizing straight men for finding lesbians hot.
It just seems like there's this certain type of female fan that goes around telling marginalized groups of people(such as gay men) that their problems originated in misogyny and as such need to take a backseat to it. White girl feminism, I guess.
Thankfully most female fans I see nowadays are not like this, so IMO fandom is more mature is this regard.
Shame about the racism though, and try to discuss it and you get the same radfems twisting their undies about how queerness is just a gateway for female sexuality and so queer men of color should just be quiet about being erased or they're being harmful to women.
