All I can say is that I don't dislike people for shipping two characters because they find them hot together (that's getting a bit too invested in other people's tastes and overreacting, imo), but that isn't what I do. (Generally. Once or twice that's happened, but it isn't a regular thing.)

I am the kind of person who won't look at porny fanart or read porny fanfic of a pairing I dislike or aren't into, no matter how well written or sexy it is. I'm just not interested; I need there to be an emotional connection if I'm going to get into it.

Now I'm not saying that every pairing I'm into is one I'm in love with, sometimes it's a more casual interest but there's still something about it that catches my eye and attracts me to it.
