Haha, see, and I actually LIKE the 'cum' spelling, if it fits the scene. It seems a lot more dirty and gritty, where 'come' is more of a coy euphemism. 'Come' imo is like 'member' or 'manhood' or something where it's sort of trite and bland.

Huh. Because I always think of 'come' comparable to 'said' in writing. As in, it conveys what needs to be conveyed without being particularly noticeable. Whereas 'cum' tends to stick out, just as 'he remarked' or 'he exclaimed' does.

And then there's 'he ejaculated' which should never be used, in either of these situations, imo. I'm pretty sure one of the Harry Potter books has this usage. Not good.

I hope you're talking about remarked or exclaimed, because I don't remember anything of an explicit sexual nature in Harry Potter...unless we read different Harry Potters...

JKR used 'Harry ejaculated' a couple of times to mean exclaimed and obviously fandom picked up on it.
