I find it deeply, deeply ironic that you're quivering with vindictive glee over women being made to feel the way you feel in slash fandoms, when the way you feel in slash fandom is the way the vast majority of media makes women feel all the time.

The only difference between slash fandom and mainstream media is that slash fandom treats the dudes as sexual objects, not the women.

Yeah, he does, but to be honest you don't sound much better. What I'm seeing here is

Slash fans: UGH GAY PEOPLE ARE MEN SO IT'S OKAY TO FETISHIZE THEM BECAUSE...

But I can't find a reason why his pettiness makes him wrong. So, nope, I'm gonna have to agree with him here. Because as a feminist I'm good enough to realize when I'm wrong about something. Yeah, I love slash but I'm not going to stomp all over another minority because I like a thing.
