Pretty sure 'smol' actually started as a word to describe really tiny animals.

I think it's kind of a cute word myself (it's hard to describe, but when I say it out loud it sounds... smaller than small), but... I generally find it odd when applied to fictional characters or people period. SU fandom especially is starting to go overkill with it (though even then, it's relatively harmless).
