Oh man I would be flattered if someone found me appealing enough to be their fetish.

Why does the word fetish have such a negative connotation? Is this victorian era where anything having to do with sex is EVIL!!!!! MUST BE PURGED!!!!

It's objectifying in the most central sense of the word. It is dehumanizing. Because if you're someone's fetish, that means that they are ONLY attracted to the thing about you that is fetishized - not at all to you as a person. for them, you are ONLY the fetish object.

You haven't read much Victorian or Edwardian era porn then, have you. The things they got up to are largely illegal now.

The difference is that the fetishist is only supportive of my sexuality as long as they benefit from it. When it's no longer just about their ability to get off, they become sullen or worse.
