I'd say because it's a silly comedy. I personally just don't watch them, and I know other are like me. I'm pretty sure I'd like the characters more in another genre. Come to think of it I've never seenn huge fanfic followings of comedies. Though maybe I look in the wrong places.

It depends on the comedy, although there are fairly big or very active fandoms for television comedies.

I don't usually watch comedies, and I definitely don't join fandoms for comedies. Comedies are the definition of popcorn flicks for me: good once, maybe, but I'll probably never think about it again.
