I'm seconding Pushing Daisies because it's a fairly short show, so it's not a big commitment. Fandom's a bit harder to find but it's such a whimsical show.

Oh! I did not realize it had two seasons. I thought it was canceled like...in the middle of the first season, so I always avoided it.

It kind of was? It was supposed to have a full 22 episode first season but that was the year of the writer's strike, so it got a shortened second season. I think it was too much for network TV and would have done better on cable.

The American version of Broadchurch (called "Gracepoint") was cancelled after one season. The British one ran for two seasons. I haven't seen the American one, but the British one is worth a look.

The first season was shortened because of the '07 - '08 Writer's Strike and the second season was cancelled in the middle.
