(Anonymous) 2015-11-18 12:12 am (UTC)(link)I keep wanting to fill my own old "deep" ones, but I'm afraid I won't do my original ideas justice. I'm not a great writer, I'm just an average id-pleaser.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-18 07:41 am (UTC)(link)I think there's actually something to this.
The thing is, as silly as it sounds, I'm actually kind of proud of some of my prompts, and that's because I tend to have a very clear idea of the story I have in mind. I can describe it's progression, the narrative turning points, mood, concept, the whole deal. The trouble is, nobody wants to fill prompts like mine because I don't leave enough room for someone to come along and make the idea their own.
My prompts usually get a number of positive comments and +1s and all that, but they never get filled, and I think it's because I'm too much of a writer to write prompts. I don't have little blips of ideas I want someone to come write a fic around; I have entire, very specific fics I want someone to bring into existence for me. I can't say I'm surprised nobody wants to do that for me.
