I hate getting older. I have all of the disadvantages and none of the perks. I'd trade all this shit for being 18 again.

Me too. But it's inevitable.

God, I wouldn't. I'd go back as far as 30 but definitely no younger.

Kinda bitter how everyone misses their teens when I shudder remembering mine.

My teens were utterly dreadful. I'm not even kidding. But at least socially, at 18, you're in a position to mke so many new decisions, like if/what you want to study etc.

If I'd go back to when I was happiest, I'd either have to go back to my early childhood (but then there would be my teens to redo), or to about 21-23. But if I'd be de-aged I'd want the longest possible head start that wouldn't involve losing my rights as an adult.

I wouldn't. What an awful thought.

54 now.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-19 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm further away from 54 than from 18...maybe I'll feel different b then, too.

It doesn't help I can't stand most of my peers currently. Well that sounds harsh, they're perfectly fine human beings, I just have nothing in common with them and don't necessarily want to interact with them socially, because it's just frustrating on both ends.

Obviously there are exceptions, but I has a much easier time socializing at 21.
