That's what gets me. Unless your dealing with a fictional species who may not have body hair (general assumption is elves don't have body hair), even in fandoms where rivers and streams and such are accessible for bathing, hair is going to get a little gross.

but why? u don't need shampoo unless you strip all the natural moisture from your hair with strong chemicals

(u can do with very little shampoo easily, in case of apocalypse)

Head hair yes. Body hair tends to make smells stick around more and make them stronger.

Yep. Its the main purpose of crotch hair, besides protecting sensitive skin.
