Cursed names

So we all know we have a member who can't stand guys named Connor.

Have any of the rest of you ever had a name where everyone you met with it was a problem in some way? On the other hand, are there any names you automatically like because everyone you've met with the name was awesome?

I used to dislike Julia and Julie, because I knew a few mean girls with that name, but now I know some nice ones, and one of the mean Julias got better anyway.

Every Kevin I knew has something wrong with them. Not in the douchebag way, but in the it really sucks to be them" way. Going from social anxiety to autism and one with literal brain damage.

I've had an above average rate of friendships with people with the name Kristof of some variation on that, so that's a good name for me.

Names I hate: Stacy/Stacie/Stacey -- if it's said "stay-see" I know automatically that they're going to be a selfish, manipulative, back-stabbing bitch. No person with that unholy trinity of names has EVER been different from that personality.

Laura -- Every Laura I know has been manipulative, pathological liar, and attention whore.

Justin -- every Justin I've known has been a massive douchebag.

Names I like: Erin -- Every Erin I know is an awesome, truly nice person who genuinely cares about people around them and open to friendship with EVERYONE.

Danielle -- Every Danielle I've known has been a sweet, genuine, honest person no matter their life circumstances.

Kevin -- Every Kevin I know has been honest and trustworthy, helpful, and always wise. And have great senses of humor. If you can get me to bust out laughing when I've been crying my eyes out, you're great. (Mind you the first Kevin to do so was a cousin who said he'd eaten enough Altoids to make his farts smell minty after our great-grandmother's funeral.)

Every guy I've known who goes by "Michael" has been fine. Some issues, but overall good people. But every guy I've personally known who goes by "Mike" has been some kind of a jerk.

I have a surprisingly bad track record with kids named Joseph, ranging from a severely autistic kid who couldn't understand why he pissed off everyone around him, to an emotionally disturbed kid who "tickled" his baby foster brother's belly with the point of a safety pin.

Melody, Marcy and Rhonda were the mean girls in my homeroom (so you can probably guess how old I am!). I have low expectations of women with those names until I know them better.

Also Kim Davis. Aside from the famous one, I have met two other Kim Davises in my life who were EPIC TIER bitches, in the talking behind people's backs and attempting to actively sabotage friendships with lies when they didn't get their way (not getting their way could be as little as an unfilled kinkmeme prompt).

That name combination is just bad news.

Every Richard I've ever known turns out to be a dick. This includes my literal Uncle Dick, who doesn't get invited to holidays anymore. My aunt's best friend's ex Rich the Math Teacher was creepy as hell. Other Richards I've known. They tend to be really shitty in general, flakes, guys who use people, or all three at once.

Hell, Richard is even a dick in The Lion In Winter.

I'm convinced at this point that the only Richards worth hanging out with are Ayoade and Dean Anderson.

Please prove me wrong, because it's a damn good name.

I do not totally trust anyone who shares my name. This is a side effect of high school, where there was a girl with the same name as me who was a bitch.

Ethan. There was a guy bullied me with that name, but the worst part of it is that he terrorized me the most out of the people around me, yet many people claim that he's an amazing person with great energy. I can't imagine anyone named Ethan being anything but a two-faced asshole.

Nick. They are usually tempremental, paranoid narcissists whose toxic behavior comes out unexpectedly.

Lindsey. The only Lindsey I've known was a morose, attention seeking, clingy loser without hobbies and who lashed out at the worst times.
