I get the sense that people are more grossed out by the idea of oral sex (mouth on dirty genitals) than PIV (or other forms of non-oral, but PIV being the one relevant to reproduction) because those bits are all dirty already anyway.

I think it's all kinda gross-sounding, but if it was peoples' only option, I'm sure there would still be lots of shagging.
